Get to Know Susannah

Susannah Macmillan was elected to the Brentwood City Commission in 2019.

She has a passion for serving Brentwood and its residents.

Susannah is on the Library Board and the Environmental Advisory Board for the City of Brentwood.

 
 

She graduated from the Brentwood Citizen’s Police Academy as well as the Brentwood Citizen’s Fire Academy, logging over 60 hours of classes and training exercises. 

 

 

Susannah Macmillan’s Bio

 

Susannah is the Secretary and Treasurer for Act Too Players Foundation which provides scholarships to support children with financial needs as well as special needs children to be able to participate in theater programs in Williamson County.  She has been actively involved in the PTO at Scales, BMS, and BHS for the past 12 years in a variety of roles. Susannah received her Bachelor's Degree from Rhodes College, Memphis, TN, and her Master's in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University.  She is married to Dr. Robert Macmillan Jr., husband of 24 years. Susannah moved to Green Hills in 1989, and then Susannah and Rob moved to Brentwood in 2009. 

Susannah and her husband have three children all of whom attended Scales Elementary, Brentwood Middle School, and Brentwood High School. Her daughters are at Brentwood High School and will graduate in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

Previously, Susannah was Associate Director of Human Resources for Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) in Nashville. She has also served as a counselor for Youth Villages and a substitute teacher for Westminster School for Young Children in Nashville.
